Our client is an important multinational company operating in distribution of shoes and accessories, is looking for a


                                          RETAIL DEVELOPMENT MANAGER ITALY rif. 5351


Reporting to the Development Director Italy and closely collaborating with the HQs Retail Team, the candidate will be a key contributor in driving the company’s retail store expansion and sales growth in Italy.

The aim of the position will be defining, developing and planning all the activities connected with new Stores opening (starting, locations, store modelling, etc) in compliance with company’s guidelines and retail development strategies.




  • Proactively search for new market opportunities;
  • Acquisition and development of sites for new stores (mall and town center);
  • High level of energy, drive, enthusiasm and commitment;
  • Geo marketing dossier: determine the marketable rent terms for the area and rent returns, propose the division to made between shops and medium-sized areas, competitor analysis, study of purchasing power;
  • Verbal and written communication skills and persuasive skills;
  • Team leader management;
  • Ability to self-manage, with strong organizational and planning skills;
  • Ability to work in a high pressured, fast moving and challenging environment;
  • Ability in real estate investment and cost management;
  • Experience in procurement, legal and contractual iusses;
  • Self-motivated to continuously expand personal professional knowledge;
  • Implementation of the corporate philosophy;
  • Reporting to the Board of Directors;
  • Carry on negotiations for property purchase agreements conclude preliminary agreements and deeds of sale;
  • Coordination of all mentioned activities for the opening of new stores within the target date;
  • Proven negotiating skills with authorities, landowners, consultants and stakeholders.



  • Degree in economics required
  • At least 3 years experience in retail marketing and store operations roles within Fashion Retail Companies
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in negotiating with internal and external stakeholders, and interacting with and influencing business partners at all levels
  • Fluent English, German appreciated
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, highly motivated, dynamic, determined,  result-oriented and strong leadership
  • Interpersonal flexibility, stress resistance, good judgment, proactiveness, ability to work with in a multicultural environment, integrity, problem solving, strong business acumen
